Lita Rossana Ford was a British-born American guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. In the latter part of the 70s, she played as the lead guitarist for the hard-rocking all-girl band The Runaways. Although the band did not make much progress in America but they enjoyed huge popularity internationally. It was particularly true in Japan. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and successful career as a solo performer after the band split together in 1979. She began to take voice lessons before releasing her debut album "Out for Blood", followed by "Dancin" on the Edge. Ford went missing from the music scene for several years after both albums failed to become popular. The year was 1988, when she debuted her most successful album "Lita". The hit single 'Kiss Me Deadly' as well as the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' were both major success. However, her success was only short lived and for several years after, she went under the radar. In 1995, she released 'Black' and 15 years later 'Wicked Wonderland. The album she released was Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
