Zoe-perry
Perry is born July 25, 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television included two episodes as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother. Fearing stress, her parents didn't want to see the actress pursue acting until turning 18. Perry shy and shy to be a part of the theater in her school, began performing in the theater at Northwestern University because she wanted to meet new people. Perry left for New York, where she was offered small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness brought Perry home to California, where theater jobs were in demand. In 2013, she was a part of The Other Place on Broadway along with her mother. In 2015, she starred together with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning Drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry starred in nine episodes in 2016 of ABC's show The Family. In 2017, Perry had a role on ABC's political thriller Scandal with her father. She played an older Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off series that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was another younger portrayal of her mother. The role was selected via auditions the fact that she had a deep relationship with the show.
