Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actor, singer and writer. In her early years, Sara was racially taunted by a lot of Americans. After entering a ninth-grade school audition in which she received high praise for her voice as she built confidence. This experience did not just help to boost her confidence, but also changed the direction she was heading in her the future. She was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was You've Got Mail. But her biggest break came when she played the part in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway show Spamalot winning not just the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. The following year, she was cast in the ABC series Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider appreciation for her performance. As a well-known singer, she released her own single and an extended version of her play. In addition, she has been an advocate for LGBT concerns.
